Me in Times Square! I thought it was like the NC Fair- crowded with lots of lights, food and people trying to get you to come to their venue.

There are lots of street performers in NY- in the parks, sidewalks, subway... Most are great, some you just feel sorry for!

Taxis are everywhere and very expensive. I took two- one from the airport and one back to the airport. Each were over $30.
